We have been conditioned to believe that putting the needs of others before our own is our primary responsibility, and taking care of our own needs first is selfish

As if our self-worth was solely defined by how much we give to others, and how little we give to ourselves

I’m here to challenge this deep-rooted belief system and tell you that self-care is NOT selfish. When we care for ourselves, we are able to give more to others too. You know the saying:

You need to first put your own oxygen mask on before helping someone else

This statement holds true in every aspect of our lives, not just on an airplane
